Cook Together and Dinner at Üks Maja

Let’s cook together, set the table and enjoy what we’ve made. Come as you are: after a long day, in a hurry, or with your thoughts still somewhere else. A lovely, calming space awaits, with candlelight, quiet music and a kitchen where we can all get to work, inspired by the delicious aromas. You can come alone or with friends!

We’ll begin with a few quiet minutes to breathe and leave the day behind. Then we’ll head to the kitchen together and start making a curry sauce with warming spices, handmade naan and other exciting dishes. You’ll learn interesting, simple tips for creating a tasty, varied dinner. Participants will receive all the recipes, so you can take the experience home with you. You don’t need to know how to cook. You can learn, smell and experiment. This is a cheerfully guided group-cooking event—there’s no need to worry; just show up.

When the food is ready, we’ll set the table together and sit down. We’ll also provide various items to help you set a creative and beautiful table. The ingredients, the food and its preparation matter, but so do the way and the setting in which we enjoy it. We’ll eat, share and enjoy the dinner we’ve made together.

What’s on the menu?
Coconut curry (we’ll make the curry paste ourselves), with meat and without / rice / mint yoghurt sauce / mango chutney / coriander sauce / handmade naan with garlic butter
Juicy plum cake with cardamom / ginger caramel sauce / berries

Your instructor: Sigrid Saks

Sigrid is a chef who sees food as a way to share joy and bring people together. She started experimenting in the kitchen as a teenage girl and founded her food brand Päikseamps in 2023. Through it, she has hosted special dinners and charity events, travelled around Estonia with a pop-up café, prepared snack platters and made gift boxes of handmade treats for companies. Since this year, she has also been one of the four owners of Inti Cafe, where she is responsible for the entire food menu.

Her love of food and people also brought Sigrid to Üks Maja. She has learned here and there, and that breadth of experience makes her a good instructor: she can show simple, clever techniques to make your future cooking more exciting. Outside the kitchen, she recharges in the forest and practises aerial acrobatics. At Üks Maja, she is happy to share what she loves most: good food, the joy of discovery and a shared table… the feeling that we are together.
