Join us for an Italian cooking masterclass where we’ll make fresh pasta together from simple ingredients. We’ll learn three different ways to make fresh pasta and explore how the dough’s consistency, texture and uses vary depending on the technique. This hands-on experience will help you understand what goes into making quality pasta and what makes freshly made pasta so special.

Step by step, we’ll learn how to prepare, knead, rest and roll out pasta dough, and explore how different flours can produce different pasta shapes and textures. We’ll focus on key details: the right ratio of flour to eggs, dough elasticity, moisture and thickness, and how to prepare pasta so that it is tender yet has a pleasant texture.

During the masterclass, each participant will try all three pasta-making methods and can take the fresh pasta they make home. You’ll be able to put the skills you learn to use in your own kitchen: making and storing fresh pasta, then turning it into a complete Italian meal.

To finish, we’ll make one of the world’s best-known Italian dishes: authentic Spaghetti Carbonara. We’ll focus on the classic technique and how the ingredients work together to create a silky, rich and balanced sauce. Carbonara will be our shared finale: we’ll sit down and enjoy the freshly made dish together, ending the evening in true Italian style.

This masterclass is suitable both for those just discovering fresh pasta and for those who want to improve their skills and learn to work with pasta dough professionally. You’ll learn three different ways to make fresh pasta without a pasta machine, take home pasta you’ve made yourself, and gain confidence in creating authentic Italian flavours in your own kitchen.
