We no longer choose a restaurant solely for what it serves. We choose its atmosphere, values, people, space, service and feel. Some restaurants make us travel to another city, some change the image of an entire area, and some become places around which a whole lifestyle takes shape. “Food as a Lifestyle Designer” asks how a place becomes somewhere people want to return to—and how much of that experience can be consciously designed.
The conversation is hosted by food anthropologist Piibe Lukkats. The panel includes chef and restaurant creator Tõnis Siigur and restaurateur and cookbook author Anni Arro. We’ll talk about the restaurant as a whole: food, interior design, service, music and identity, as well as how food influences our travel, habits and the reputation of cities. And, of course, we’ll talk about Pärnu: what it takes for a city to become a strong gastronomic destination, and when the first Michelin star might arrive here.
