Lo Sparviere Franciacorta tasting with Tobia Valentini at VinoDeli Stuudio (31.10.26)

Our special guest this evening is Tobia Valentini, Export Manager at Lo Sparviere, who will present the estate’s wines in person and talk about Franciacorta and the traditional method of sparkling wine production. Lo Sparviere is located in Monticelli Brusati, in the heart of Franciacorta. The historic estate dates back to the 16th century, and its name comes from the image of a hawk (sparviero) on an old fireplace in the house. The estate has been making wine since 1974 and now has around 30 hectares of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero vineyards in Monticelli Brusati and Provaglio d’Iseo. The vineyards are certified organic.

At the tasting, we’ll try five Lo Sparviere Franciacortas, from a fresh Extra Brut to vintage and aged cuvées:

It will be particularly interesting to compare the two 2015 Franciacortas and see how extended ageing, dosage and different winemaking approaches shape a mature sparkling wine.
