TARTU – AI in Office Work

Your inbox is filling up, meeting notes are waiting to be organised, and the report once again needs to be assembled from the same pieces. Which parts of this work could AI take on? In this free, hands-on workshop, we’ll work with real office tasks and try out ways to make them easier with AI. The aim is to create a solution you can use next week and share with a colleague.

For example, you can try how to:
- turn meeting notes into a clear summary with tasks and deadlines;
- draft an email, proposal or report based on source information;
- compare long documents and identify important differences;
- turn a recurring task into clear instructions that AI can follow to help you each time.

We’ll take one task and work through it in practice. We’ll look at which steps you can hand over to AI, what information it needs, and what a good result should look like. We’ll try a suitable tool or workflow, improve the instructions, and add checkpoints so that errors don’t reach a client, colleague or manager.

Safety is part of the practice: what data can be used, what needs to be removed or replaced, and when a person must check the result. The methods are not tied to any one AI tool. You’ll be able to apply what you learn to your own work and show a colleague how to make the same task easier.

Trainer: Janika Mõru

Janika Mõru is a trainer at Veebikool and leads work on customer experience, systems and automation. As an AI and automation practitioner and trainer, she helps find ways for technology to reduce everyday workloads. Her approach combines practical benefits with mindful use: how to make work easier while keeping data protected and actions under control.

Bring a laptop and charger. We’ll use sample data in the exercises; do not enter personal data or confidential information into public AI tools.
