Practical AI workshop for office professionals – From conversation to practical work results. Participation in the workshop is free, but places are limited.

AI’s capabilities extend far beyond the usual chat window. In this practical workshop, we’ll learn how to use AI to simplify everyday work tasks, create documents, analyse information and save time. We’ll practise giving AI clear tasks, guiding it towards the desired result, and applying its different capabilities to handle everyday work more efficiently. We’ll also look at how AI is developing into an increasingly capable work assistant.

The workshop is at beginner level and is suitable both for people with little experience using AI and for those who want to build on their existing skills, learn new ways of working and discover practical uses for AI.

Main topics:
1. AI tools and their capabilities – We’ll explore ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Microsoft 365 Copilot, and look at their main capabilities and differences.
2. How to get better results from AI – We’ll learn to set clear goals, provide the necessary background information and guide AI towards the desired result.
3. AI in everyday office work – Creating texts and documents, working with spreadsheets, analysing information, summarising and planning.
4. From conversation to practical work results – We’ll practise working with files and using projects and persistent instructions. We’ll explore deep research and agentic capabilities, and see how AI can use information from email, calendars, documents and other work tools through integrations, and support multi-step tasks.
5. Safe and informed use – We’ll cover data protection, confidentiality, AI’s limitations and checking results.

By the end of the workshop, participants will:
• know the main capabilities, differences and usage limitations of common AI tools;
• be able to give AI clear tasks and refine and improve the results;
• be able to use AI to process texts, documents, spreadsheets and information, and simplify everyday work tasks;
• be able to use the basic capabilities of file-based work, projects and persistent instructions, and understand how integrations and agentic features can support more complex tasks;
• understand the main risks of using AI, be able to assess whether sharing data is safe, and check the reliability of results.

Requirements for participation:
No previous experience using AI is required. Paid licences are not necessary – practical exercises can also be done with free tools, subject to their capabilities and usage limitations. The trainer will introduce features that are unavailable on free accounts through examples and demonstrations.

Please bring a laptop and have an active personal Google account (Gmail) that you can use to sign in to the necessary AI platforms. We recommend checking before the workshop that you can log in to your account.

The workshop is led by Reelika Randmaa, an AI trainer and implementation consultant with experience as a business, human resources and software solutions sales manager. She trains public- and private-sector managers and specialists in the practical and safe use of AI. Reelika has delivered training, among others, for Keskkonnaamet, Kaitseressursside Amet, Verston, Prysmian Group Baltics, Bonava and Dentalmarket. She holds a master’s degree in human resource management from TalTech; her master’s thesis addressed artificial intelligence. Her strength is making complex technological capabilities understandable and applicable in everyday work.

The workshop is part of Arunädal and the Eesti.ai initiative “Kõige AI-targem rahvas” (“The Most AI-Savvy Nation”).
