Come closer to yourself. Come closer to another. “Come Closer” is a regular partner-breathing series that continues every other week until spring. Each meeting is a complete evening in its own right, and participation does not require a commitment to the entire journey. You may come once or meet in this space again and again—according to how it speaks to you. During the meetings, the breathing practices and their focuses will change, but the central movement remains the same: closer to yourself, to another, and to what arises between you. This is an evening in which you consciously give time to yourself, the person beside you, and what arises between you. Through conscious breathing, movement and somatic presence, we explore what it is like to be in contact with yourself and another person at the same time—to notice your body, feelings, boundaries, openness, and how we approach, move away, give and receive. You may come with your partner or with someone in whose presence you feel comfortable. You may also come alone. In that case, I can confirm your participation if there is a suitable opposite-sex solo partner in the group. You can read more about the content of the evening, partner practice, nudity, boundaries and contraindications for breathing on the “Come Closer” page.
