Workshop led by: Henn Sarv
Format: Workshop 1 (introductory)
Target audience: Office workers, assistants, specialists, coordinators, project workers, small business owners, and others whose daily work involves a lot of emails, documents, meetings, spreadsheets, presentations, and scattered pieces of information.
This practical workshop focuses on how AI can become a close colleague and assistant—not someone who does your work for you, but a partner who helps organise ideas, suggest options, prepare drafts, and find what matters faster in large amounts of information. We will look at how large language models (LLMs) work, how to describe a task clearly to them, and how to check and develop the results. We will practise with real office-work examples: correspondence, documents, meetings, spreadsheets, presentations, information searches, and organising everyday workflows.
The workshop is intended both for people new to AI and for those who already use ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, or another AI tool from time to time, but want to make it a more purposeful work tool.
In the workshop, you will learn to:
· understand which office tasks genuinely benefit from AI and when it is better to do the work yourself
· write effective prompts for emails, documents, summaries, instructions, and other texts
· use AI to organise, compare, shorten, and adapt lengthy, unstructured information for different audiences
· prepare meetings, agendas, questions, notes, action lists, and follow-up tasks
· work with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, spreadsheets, and other office materials using AI
· create a personal AI assistant to support recurring office tasks and learn how to check its work
Outcome: Participants leave the workshop with practical prompts, sample workflows, and a model for using AI tailored to their everyday work.
Workshop arrangements
· The workshop is practical and participant-centred: we will work on personal laptops and try everything out immediately using examples from our own work.
· You will receive a collection of ready-made sample tasks, or prompts, which you can adapt further for your work.
· Bring your laptop. It is recommended that you subscribe to a paid LLM (large language model) for one month—such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, Manus.im, or another service—so you can complete the practical process of creating an AI assistant.
Participation is free. Completing a feedback form is required. The workshop has 40 places.
