Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

What is true beauty? Storytellers and puppeteers around the world have been trying to answer this question since time immemorial. When we asked the magic mirror, it told us a wonderful story about a beautiful but wicked Queen, a beautiful and good Snow White, and a love that can overcome the most evil spells and enchantments. There is a magic mirror that reflects everything as it really is. What kind of mirror is it? The actors gaze at it with interest and see not themselves, but a happy King and Queen with their little daughter, Snow White. When the Queen dies, the image disappears. But that is only how it seems. Then a cat appears and explains that the mirror is extraordinary, and that one can see the most magical things in it. And indeed, we soon see a new Queen who longs to be the fairest of them all, even more beautiful than wonderful Snow White. So she orders the cat to lead the beauty astray in the forest. The kind dwarfs come to Snow White’s aid. Then the Queen resorts to the most wicked spells, but they are powerless against the Prince’s pure and innocent love—love that overcomes the Queen’s most evil enchantments. “Where did that mirror come from? Will it always be here?” the actors wonder. And the cat explains that the mirror is the world, which reflects ourselves.
