Ema and Neila Lavrenovaitė: Dance Performance “A Letter to the Silence That Didn’t Listen”

How much silence can a person hold? Some silences bring comfort. Others speak louder than any words. “A Letter to the Silence That Didn’t Listen” is a dance performance inviting you on a sensitive journey into the inner world of a person—where unspoken feelings become letters, and a smile sometimes becomes just another mask. Here, two different ways of living with silence meet: hiding emotions deep inside or covering everything with a perfect smile. Both characters hope to be heard. The letters that take shape on stage become what we often dare not say aloud—about home, our relationship with ourselves, loss, and a silence that can sometimes ring so loudly it drowns out everything around it. This is not a story about two people. Perhaps it is a story about each of us. Perhaps that evening you will see more than a performance. Perhaps at last you will hear yourself. Sometimes one conversation is enough for what has lived in silence for a long time to finally find its voice. And what if, one evening, silence decided to speak…
