“They baked it themselves, ate it themselves, and praised themselves” at Grīvas kultūrtelpa

Daugavpils Latvian Society invites you to the event series “From Seed to the Family Table”, taking place at Grīvas kultūrtelpa on 14 November. At 11:00 on 14 November, the festive programme “They baked it themselves, ate it themselves, and praised themselves” will be held there. The results of the cucumber pickling, salting and cabbage fermenting competitions will be announced during the programme. Visitors can take part in a twig-cookie baking workshop and competition, and enjoy musical performances and tastings. The authors of the recipe guide “My Favourite Recipe” will also be honoured, and a video film will be shown.

The events aim to promote the preservation and passing on of traditional cooking skills to future generations, while creating opportunities for residents of different generations to meet, share experiences and take part in activities together.
