Kīrtan is a gentle, meditative spiritual practice rooted in ancient traditions. It takes place in a simple call-and-response format: a lead singer sings, and participants respond by repeating mantras or sacred names. This repetition is considered a way to awaken bhakti—a deep, sincere feeling of love and devotion. In India, kīrtan is valued as a spiritual path that is open and accessible to everyone, especially in today’s fast-paced world. Kīrtan can be experienced in temples, at gatherings, and at informal get-togethers. Participation fee: €15. Instructor: Irina Laidinen—a certified sound therapy practitioner (British Academy of Sound Therapy), vocalist, researcher of Vedic chanting, and founder of a sound and yoga studio in Tallinn.
