London, December 1888. A poor, unknown artist appears at the Baker Street 221B apartment, a bloodstained bandage around his head, and asks Sherlock Holmes for help. The group must also confront a villain who unexpectedly emerges from Holmes’s past and interferes in the investigation. Holmes, Dr Watson and Holmes’s lover Irene Adler become entangled in a diabolical conspiracy. A famous Irish-born dandy, socialite and writer comes to the team’s aid in the investigation.

This is a fast-paced comedy that combines a classic Victorian crime novel, witty dialogue and historical parodies. It is the first part of David MacGregor’s “Sherlock Holmes Trilogy”. The play was first staged in 2018 by the Purple Rose Theatre Company in Michigan. The Estonian premiere will take place on 14 January 2027 at Viljandi Seasaare Theatre.
