London, December 1888. A poor, unknown artist arrives at the flat at 221B Baker Street, a bloodied bandage around his head, and asks Sherlock Holmes for help. The group must also face a villain who unexpectedly emerges from Holmes’s past and interferes with the investigation. Holmes, Dr Watson and Holmes’s lover Irene Adler become entangled in a diabolical conspiracy. A famous Irish-born dandy, socialite and writer comes to the team’s aid in the investigation.

This is a fast-paced comedy blending a classic Victorian crime novel, witty dialogue and historical parodies. It is the first part of David MacGregor’s “Sherlock Holmes Trilogy”. The play was first staged in 2018 by the Purple Rose Theatre Company in Michigan.

Estonian premiere on 14 January 2027 at Seasaare Teater in Viljandi.
