London, December 1888. A poor, unknown artist arrives at the apartment at 221B Baker Street, a bloody bandage around his head, and asks Sherlock Holmes for help. The group must also face a villain who unexpectedly emerges from Holmes’s past and interferes with the investigation. Holmes, Dr Watson and Holmes’s lover Irene Adler become entangled in a diabolical conspiracy. A famous Irish-born dandy, socialite and writer joins the team to help with the investigation.

This is a fast-paced comedy that combines a classic Victorian crime novel, witty dialogue and historical parodies. It is the first part of David MacGregor’s “Sherlock Holmes Trilogy”. The play was first staged in 2018 in Michigan by the Purple Rose Theatre Company. The Estonian premiere will take place on 14 January 2027 at Seasaare Theatre in Viljandi.
