Fundamentalist

“Fundamentalist” is a play about love. Its characters are Markus, a progressive pastor who has publicly admitted to being a tool of Satan, and his former good friend Heidi, who has drifted aimlessly through life like a lifeless piece of driftwood. On a fateful autumn night, Markus and Heidi meet again, and their spiritual war and search for truth begin. In the process, they must reassess what they believe and why. What is truth? Can multiple truths exist at the same time? Is it possible to help another person selflessly? How far can one go with this desire? How far does one person’s responsibility for another extend? What is fanaticism, and when does it become dangerous? Markus can be encountered in the small hall of Krahl, where audiences can take part in the pastor’s personal confession.
