Märt Avandi stand-up “45”

A 45-year-old man, a parent, an ex-spouse, an addict, a member of the Estonian Defence League, a money fool, a technology novice... When Märt created his first stand-up show, “40,” at the age of 40 and successfully toured Estonia (and briefly abroad) with this honest and personal material, he thought he might try again at 50. But here we are: Märt Avandi’s stand-up “45” is a reality. It is actually surprising how much can happen in five years. Even if you consider yourself experienced, someone who has seen it all, and would also like to think of yourself as a reasonable person. One might have assumed that everything inside you and around you would gradually become calmer. It does not. Fortunately, the desire to look at your life with humor has not disappeared. Nor has the desire to analyze your vices, worries, and mistakes with complete honesty. Because if there is anything worth laughing at, it is yourself. On stage: Märt Avandi.
