Niinagu

The camera’s eye moves through a dewy meadow toward evening. A picturesque and fast-paced visual performance with few words, also welcoming the youngest theatre-goers (from the age of 3). The performance was inspired by the colourful work of Estonian artist Kristi Kangilaski and her painting “Tulipead”. The performance expresses pure emotion and uses intuition and the joy of creation—moving and creating exactly as one feels. In the performance of two actors, a wild and playful world full of encounters comes to life on stage. This is journey theatre (a road movie), in which more than 40 distinctive characters fly across the stage—from flaming tulip blossoms to trick-playing foreign chickens, nonsensical fish and mud-bath creatures.
