Haldi – “Safiir” Album Launch in Sindi

Haldi has completed her third solo album, “Safiir”! This November, three very special concerts will take place to celebrate it, featuring the performance of the new full-length album with a large ensemble. The album launches will take place in Tallinn, Tartu and Sindi. These are the only opportunities this autumn to experience Haldi’s special work.

Haldi says about the new album:

“For me, this album is a conceptual work. At the centre of the nine-song full-length album is a young adult born in a free Estonia, reflecting on their roots and identity and thus reflecting the current turbulent era in society. These thoughts and questions can be found both in the lyrics and in the music. In addition, my new role as a mother has given the album important substance and its greatest impetus.

Musically, “Safiir” contains attitudes, melodies, emotionality, states of mind and roots characteristic of Estonia’s cultural sphere. Yet, surprisingly, on this record they all come together with rhythms and sounds characteristic of the South American musical landscape. That is also why I will not be performing this album alone on stage. This time, the musical ensemble joining me on stage is truly grandiose.

On these three evenings, 14 more musicians will perform on stage with me:
Mattias Tirmaste – guitar
Kristjan Tenso – drums
Rodrigo Manfrinatti – percussion
Oliver Kaljula – keyboards
Siim Siimer – electric guitar
Märten Lehto – bass guitar
Jaan Mesi – trumpet
Siim Sõmer – flute
Aet Kubits – clarinet
Mirjam Murd – oboe
Anne-Mai Park – backing vocals
Hellika Otsar – backing vocals
Liis Õunpuu – backing vocals
EiK – guest vocalist

The concert will feature the entire new album “Safiir”, as well as several songs from Haldi’s earlier solo albums “Raba” and “Taevalaed”. It is also important to add that the repertoire of Haldi & ans Flamingo will not be performed at these events.

See you at the album launches, where you will be the first to have the opportunity to purchase the forthcoming vinyl or CD with an autograph!

I’m very much looking forward to seeing you!
