Viljandi Children’s and Youth Theatre Reky performance “Christmas in the Country”

“Christmas in the Country” by Kadri Paldra. Christmas... Children’s favourite holiday... A time of anticipation and hope... A time when we all want, even if only for a moment, to enter a fairytale land... It has become a tradition for our theatre to bring a new Christmas fairy tale to the stage every Christmas. This year is no exception. For one month only, a lovely Christmas fairy tale will go on tour. This time, the story takes viewers to the countryside. A little girl accustomed to the bustle of the city, mobile phones and constant rushing ends up in the country just before Christmas, where she is initially very bored. Her grandmother’s memories of what it was like when she was still a little girl seem to the girl like a medieval fairy tale. Suddenly, someone small and very cute appears... and then someone else... and yet another. And suddenly, Christmas in the country takes on an entirely different fairytale-land (Christmas-land) atmosphere... Premiere: 20 November 2026. Ticket: €15 when purchased on site. For school and kindergarten groups, every 11th ticket is free. For individual visitors, a ticket is required for every attendee. Recommended for ages 3 and up. Duration: 1 hour.
