The Little Girl Who Loved Matches Too Much

Gaétan Soucy / Kersti Heinloo “The Little Girl Who Loved Matches Too Much” is a mystery and a theatrical adaptation of Gaétan Soucy’s highly successful novel. After her father’s sudden death, the narrator must leave the closed-off mansion and encounter the surrounding world, of which she understands almost nothing. Through the protagonist’s distorted gaze, the family’s dark past gradually comes to light. The story is constructed as a mystery that is at once poetic and grotesque—we see the world through the eyes of someone who has never learned to distinguish the normal from the abnormal.
