Introduction

Estonian Percussion Group is a percussion quartet founded in 2020. Its repertoire encompasses highly diverse percussion music, from meditative soundscapes to virtuosic works with abundantly pulsing rhythms and dense textures, from Baroque to rock. The ensemble consists of four outstanding Estonian percussionists: Karl Johann Lattikas, Lauri Metsvahi, Tiit Joamets and Tanel-Eiko Novikov.

The main work of this concert with a minimalist programme is Philip Glass’s “Aguas da Amazonia”, in which, in addition to more traditional instruments, glass bottles and bowls filled with water are also on stage. Several works by Estonian composers will also be performed, including the only work by Arvo Pärt arranged for percussion, “Fratres”, in an arrangement by Vambola Krigul.

Price information

Tickets €35/€25/€75. The supporter ticket (€75) includes a reserved seat in the middle rows of the hall and a guided tour of the building before the concert. The guide will meet you at the information desk at 16:00.

Shuttle Tallinn–Arvo Pärt Centre–Tallinn, €20

Book a shuttle from Tallinn to Laulasmaa. The vehicle departs Tallinn at 15:45 from the car park next to Solaris (Teatri väljak 1), stops at 16:00 at the Cirkle K car park in Haabersti (Paldiski mnt 106)*, and arrives at the Arvo Pärt Centre 25 minutes before the event begins. The return journey starts from the centre’s car park 15 minutes after the event ends and takes you to the original meeting point. The price for a return journey is €20 per person. Sales end 24 hours before the event begins. The service is provided by PremiumTaxi.
