“Maarja Got Tinder*”

Kristina Paškevicius / Andra Teede’s thriller “Maarja Got Tinder*” is based on the experiences of 59 real Estonian people on the Tinder dating platform, collected by the author in autumn 2025. Despite this, all events and characters are fictional. 39-year-old Maarja suddenly ends a long-distance relationship and dives headfirst into Tallinn’s dating scene. Driven by revenge, loneliness and curiosity, she races through a series of dates with all kinds of potential partners—from cowboys to bankers, journalists, builders and all their friends—until an innocent adventure unexpectedly turns criminal. Starring Kaisa Selde, Meelis Kubo, Ragnar Uustal and Liis Haab (voice). Playwright: Andra Teede. Concept author and director: Kristina Paškevicius. Set designer: Gerly Tinn. The production is part of Kristina Paškevicius’s creative research for her master’s studies in the choreography curriculum at TLÜ, BFM, supervised by dance researcher and critic PhD Heili Einasto. In the course of creating the production, the director explores, among other things, non-verbal communication and the intersection of dance and sexuality in the actors’ work. Premiere on 10 May 2026 at Kellerteater, in Tallinn’s Gunpowder Cellar. PLEASE NOTE! The production is not recommended for those under 14. Some scenes may be disturbing. Loud sound and stage smoke, which is harmless to health, may be used during the performance. *Tinder is a registered trademark of Tinder LLC.
