The most important words are rarely spoken right away. Sometimes they appear only after the final full stop. After a long letter. After years of life together. After a separation. After a long silence. That is why so many love letters end with a postscript—a note that holds the most intimate thoughts.
Millions of words have been written about love, yet we keep longing to hear the most important ones. We invite you to an evening where music, poetry and theatre come together in one complete story—a love story that has inspired people for centuries to create, dream and believe.
That evening, the boundaries between eras will fade. Petrarch meets Shakespeare, Mozart meets Nino Rota, the paths of Boris Pasternak and Boris Ryzhy cross, Doris Kareva meets Kalevipoeg, and classical opera blends with legendary musicals. Poetry and prose, arias and songs will take the stage—works familiar to everyone, yet still capable of surprising even the most experienced listener.
Beloved pieces of music celebrate love: arias from the operas “Don Giovanni” and “Carmen”, excerpts from the musicals “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Notre-Dame de Paris”, and other well-known melodies will carry the audience into a world of passionate feelings. The programme includes works in Estonian and Russian, profound declarations of love, moving music and words to which we want to return again and again.
This evening is for every generation: for those who love theatre, those who love poetry, and those who have not heard live music in a long time. For lovers, spouses, friends, parents and young people. And for anyone who simply wants to spend a beautiful evening in an inspiring atmosphere.
We grow up. Times change. Styles, interests and music change. But in the end, people are still talking about the same thing.
P.S. I love you
