An original play by Gerda Kordemets, SHIPS FREEZE SLOWLY
7 July–18 July 2027 / in the hall of Tõstamaa Manor
A sad comedy in two acts
This is a story about difference and uniqueness. About the clash between a sense of duty and love. And about how easily one can fall victim to the manipulations of the wrong person—a guru or mentor.
The summer play Ships Freeze Slowly was once the most ominous sentence in weather forecasts. It meant that ships were at risk of freezing in unnoticed. In this play, however, the title refers more to becoming trapped by beliefs and feelings.
What is more powerful—to be human or to be a god?
The action of this tragicomic story with elements of fantasy unfolds at a weather station, where two synopticians, a weather girl and a pendulum man arrange and resolve relationships and fight for their happiness.
