Gentlemen in Music. A Fairy Tale in Melody.

On the dark November evenings this year, the true gentlemen of Estonia’s music scene have joined forces—artists well known to us from the stage of Rahvusooper Estonia, who, in addition to theatre, have all also shone at popular music concerts. In the distinctive concert programme “Gentlemen in Music – A Fairy Tale in Melody”, the men have brought together well-known numbers from operettas and musicals, as well as elegant melodies from the music of southern countries. And most importantly, a large part of the programme will be performed in our beloved native language! Thus, over three unique evenings, we will hear the gentlemen perform beautiful gems of Italian music such as “O sole mio” and “Oled teinud mind õnnelikuks”, as well as songs of Mexican origin such as “La Paloma” and “Cielito lindo”. The programme also includes familiar melodies from the silver screen—for example, the legendary theme from the film “The Godfather” will be performed. Since the masters of our homeland also hold a place in all our hearts, the programme includes evergreen works by Estonian composers as well. The evening will undoubtedly be filled with nostalgia and the joy of recognition. Songs will be performed that have brought joy, helped us overcome difficulties, created much excitement and vivid memories, and even brought tears to the corners of our eyes. All this will be offered to us personally by Härrasmehed Muusikas—Voldemar Kuslap, Väino Puura, Jassi Zahharov, Oliver Kuusik, Rene Soom and Heldur Harry Põlda. The evening will be accompanied by Ansambel Horoskoop under the direction of Martin Trudnikov.
