Chamber Music Impressions for Saxophone Quartet and Piano

The Riga Saxophone Quartet and pianist Herta Hansen invite you to a chamber music programme in which the cycles of nature and musical stories meet in a virtuoso dialogue between saxophones and piano. At the heart of the concert programme is Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” in Jun Nagao’s expressive arrangement, featuring Autumn and Winter. The concert will also include sketches inspired by nature and city moods by Dace Aperāne, Thierry Escaich and Pedro Iturralde, as well as Michael Torke’s post-minimalist work “July”.
