“Loyalties” – A Carousel of Thoughts in One Act

Based on motifs from a work by Delphine de Vigan. Directed by Endīne Bērziņa. Three actors bring to life a story about loyalties in an abandoned playground—the invisible bonds that connect us to both the living and the dead. At the heart of the story is Tea, a twelve-year-old girl whose refuge has become alcohol; her friend Matiss, who is drawn into her dangerous secret; and her teacher Elēna, who cannot escape the ghosts of her childhood and becomes obsessed with saving the girl. Their thoughts, memories and hidden wounds spin in an unstoppable carousel, searching for an answer to the question: how far are we willing to go to protect those we love? Ticket price: €8; €5 with a Jūrmala resident card, or for pensioners, large families, people with disabilities and low-income persons.
