Bach and lullabies at ĪLE Acoustic Concert Hall

On 14 November 2026 at 18:00, the concert programme “IE-ŽŪŽ-O” will be performed at ĪLE Acoustic Concert Hall, bringing together the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, lullabies, and improvisations by Oskars and Raimonds Petrauskas. A lullaby is one of the first melodies through which a person discovers the world. It soothes, offers a sense of closeness, and lets us feel love. Director Uģis Brikmanis once reminded us that, when a person is born, alongside wishes for good fortune and prosperity, one must first wish them the ability to love. Perhaps a lullaby is the first lesson in love. In “IE-ŽŪŽ-O”, the warmth of lullabies will intertwine with the depth and breadth of Bach’s music. The programme will also feature arrangements by Raimonds Petrauskas and improvisations for saxophone and keyboards. In the virtuoso interplay of Oskars Petrauskas on saxophone and Raimonds on piano, listeners will hear both flowing melodies and captivating flights of sound, as well as echoes of music from other continents. Through melody, harmony, and free improvisation, the musicians will create music in the moment, inviting each listener to find their own story in it. The concert is organised by the Music and Art Development Foundation “Balsis” with financial support from the State Culture Capital Foundation. Tickets are available at bilesuparadize.lv.
