Raxtu Raxti “One Sun, One Land” Tour Concert in Ogre

On 21 November at 19:00, Raxtu Raxti will perform their “ONE SUN, ONE LAND” tour concert in the Grand Hall of Ogres novada Kultūras centrs. This autumn, the musical ensemble Raxtu Raxti will delight audiences across Latvia with a new concert programme and music album. The first part of the concert will feature music from the new album, created by Raxtu Raxti’s musicians, blending Latvian folk and world music, as well as entirely new original compositions. As usual, the group’s sound will be shaped by a wide range of instruments and resonant voices, equally at home in solo songs and rich polyphony. The second part of the concert will feature music that has been performed at Raxtu Raxti concerts since the group’s beginnings, including songs that are especially dear to the musicians and have been heard at concerts in Latvia and beyond its borders. Singing together with the audience will serve to strengthen and honour Latvian identity, looking ahead to a free Latvia.
