The State Blood Donor Centre will visit Talsi to meet donors every month. Donor Days in Talsi have become a long-standing tradition, and last year the State Blood Donor Centre visited our town every month. This is an opportunity to increase the number of donors and thereby obtain blood that is essential to the lives of others. This year, too, the State Blood Donor Centre will come to Talsi once a month. By donating blood, people help not only others but themselves as well. It is an opportunity to stimulate the body’s blood-forming system and restore blood composition, to get ill less often with acute and chronic diseases, to learn your pulse, blood pressure and haemoglobin level, and to receive test results by requesting them from the registrar in advance. Please note: If you would like to help by donating blood, check that you meet the requirements at www.vadc.lv and attend a Donor Day, bringing an identity document.
