Hankasalmi Jazz Club: Jazz Jkl Collective feat. Teemu Viinikainen

The year’s final jazz clubs once again feature master guitarist Teemu Viinikainen. Expect a lively selection of classic pieces by legendary jazz guitarists, with a touch of Christmas spirit! For around twenty years, Teemu Viinikainen has deservedly held the mantle of Finland’s leading jazz guitarist. His remarkable skill has been recognised around the world, and he has been described as following in the footsteps of modern jazz guitar pioneers Pat Metheny, Wayne Krantz and John Scofield. Viinikainen’s guest solo appearances at Jazz Jkl’s closing club nights of the year have become almost a Christmas tradition, and, as usual, the programme will be a medley of music by legendary jazz guitarists, along with some jazzy Christmas sounds.
