Jazz Jkl Live: Johanna Försti – A Song to Sing

Johanna Försti, a powerful performer, and her outstanding band offer a guaranteed lively and entertaining evening, performing pop hits arranged with touches of jazz, soul and gospel. Johanna Försti’s versatility and skill as both a singer and performer are unmatched in Finland. The general public knows her above all as the singer with the Tanssii Tähtien Kanssa orchestra, the frontwoman of the band Jo Stance, and a finalist on the programme Tähdet tähdet. The concert features Försti’s arrangements of well-known pop hits. The songs from A Song to Sing, an album released a few years ago around this theme, are now joined by new material. The evening will include music by Lenny Kravitz, The Police, U2, The Beatles and Madonna, among others, as well as Försti’s English translation of Riki Sorsa’s song “Haaveet.”
