Author visit: Ville Lähde

How should we think about the environmental crisis and the future, when critical ecological boundaries are being exceeded, environmental policy is being overshadowed by power politics, and science denial is increasing? Environmental researcher and philosopher Ville Lähde arrives as a guest author on the Main Library Stage. Ville Lähde will be interviewed by Jaakko Belt, editor-in-chief of niin & näin magazine. Ville Lähde and Tere Vadén have addressed environmental issues for over 25 years. Lähde's, Vadén's, and the BIOS research unit's book 12 käsitettä maailmasta: käsikirja etenevän ympäristökriisin aikakaudelle (niin & näin, 2026) offers tools for rethinking environmental questions in a transforming world. Admission to the event is free. Welcome!
