Joutsan Kino: Red Snow

Martti (Hannu-Pekka Björkman), who is enduring an endless midlife crisis, is a lonely vampire who has found a way to satisfy his insatiable thirst for blood. Every Christmas, dressed as Santa Claus, he invites himself into the homes of unsuspecting families, leaving complete destruction in his wake as cheerful Christmas carols play in the background. Until one Christmas, when Martti is invited to the home of Johanna (Anni Iikkanen), who dreams of gothic romance, and her family at their grandmother’s manor. Johanna’s and Martti’s life goals meet in the strangest of ways, but obstacles stand in the way of their shared aim: a Tappara fan who cracks dad jokes (Kari Hietalahti), a questionably qualified home care worker (Krista Kosonen), and a vengeful major (Tommi Korpela). What follows is a merciless Christmas Eve night chase that everyone gets to feel in their own skin. Rated K-16.
