Guitar concerts at Cultural Centre Villa Rana Restaurant

The monthly guitar sessions that started at Restaurant Villa Rana in the spring continue from the end of August onwards. The evenings with free admission feature performances by Jyväskylä-based guitar artist Tuomas Paukku, and the music heard includes a wide range of jazz standards, small classical music gems, guitar interpretations of pop songs, Paukku's own compositions, improvisations, and experiments. Restaurant Villa Rana serves during the guitar sessions. Jyväskylä-based Tuomas Paukku is one of the most active guitarists in the Finnish jazz scene. Known as a versatile guitarist, distinctive composer, and visionary bandleader, the musician's ensembles include the contemporary jazz quartet Tuomas Paukku Scription and the multi-generational Jazz Jkl Collective. Paukku's music has been released on three group albums - "Tuomas Paukku Description" (2016), "Tuomas Paukku Scription" (2018) and Whirls (2023) - as well as the solo guitar album "Peaces" released in 2025.
