Central Finland Cancer Society’s 70th Birthday

The Central Finland Cancer Society turns 70 this year. Each year, around 1,800 people in Central Finland are diagnosed with cancer. Cancer does not discriminate by gender or age. It affects us all—families, workplaces and groups of friends. We are pleased to invite all members, clients, support persons, volunteers, former employees, supporters, donors and others who have supported our work to celebrate this significant milestone with us on Saturday, 21 November 2026. At the 70th birthday celebration, the 70th anniversary publication will be unveiled, merit medals will be presented, and the society’s activities will be introduced. The event will be hosted by journalist Maria Markus. It starts at 14:00 and ends at 15:30. The event is free of charge and open to everyone.
