Are You in the Loop? — A Children’s Musical

Everyday life at a school in Jyväskylä takes an unexpected turn when new pupils arrive in the classroom. Friendships form, but so do painful situations and bullying. Can reconciliation be found? What might begin to grow if we dare to ask, listen and encounter one another? *Are You in the Loop?* is a new, emotionally rich and engaging musical aimed especially at primary school children and their families. Dozens of children and adults appear on stage as actors, dancers, soloists, choir members and a live band. The musical explores friendship, building reconciliation, internationalism, prayer and hope. This commissioned musical, now receiving its premiere, was written by Anna-Mari Kaskinen and composed by Henna-Maria Harju. Directed by Mika Lahtinen; choreography by Piia-Maria Aho; choir direction by Sanna Saarenpää; band direction by Janette Rantanen. The running time, including an interval, is approximately two hours. The musical is produced by Jyväskylän seurakunta, with Jyväskylän Helluntaiseurakunta and Kansan Raamattuseura as partners. We recommend arriving by public transport. Parking is available in the Hipposhalli car park in disc-parking spaces. The premises are accessible, and the toilet is also accessible. Induction loop positions in the auditorium are in the centre of the stalls and at the back of the auditorium. Tickets are available for sensory-friendly seats, of which there are a limited number.
