Our staff includes enthusiastic film buffs. The person who selected each film will give a short introduction before the screening. Afterwards, there will also be an opportunity to discuss the film you have just seen. Screenings take place on Thursdays, 8 October, 12 November and 10 December at 5:30 p.m. Free admission!

8 October: Turbo Kid (2015, 1 hr 35 min, age 16+, Canada)
It is 1997. The world is in a post-apocalyptic era, and Earth is a dry, barren wasteland. The desert is ruled by the sadistic leader Zeus. Kid is the young hero of the story, riding his BMX bike across the desert and scavenging for scraps to trade for life-sustaining water.

12 November: Rams (2015, 1 hr 33 min, age 12+, Iceland)
Sheep farmers and brothers Gummi and Kiddi have not spoken a single word to each other in 40 years, even though they live next door to each other and compete each year to raise the finest breeding ram.

10 December: Primer (2004, 1 hr 17 min, age 16+, United States)
MSc engineers Abe and Aaron do dull work at a large company, and in their free time they build their own inventions. They unexpectedly discover that one of their machines can manipulate time, and the friends try to work out how best to make use of their revolutionary discovery.

And the selected films are also available to watch on the Cineast film service. It is free; all you need to do is log in with your library card and PIN. You can watch a maximum of three films per month.
