Miss Marple and the Staring Gaze

Miss Jane Marple, enjoying a quiet retirement, has injured her ankle and is recovering at home in an English village, but even a painful leg cannot stop the amateur detective from becoming embroiled in a fiendishly complicated murder mystery. Gentle and humorous, yet razor-sharp, Miss Marple notices what others do not. When the famous film star Marina Gregg moves to the village and Heather Lee, an ordinary local woman, is poisoned at her cocktail party, the mystery is complete. Was the film star Marina Gregg meant to be the target of the murder? Who would want a famous film star dead? Chief Inspector Dermot Craddock is even called in from Scotland Yard to investigate the murder, but in the end, the perceptive Miss Marple’s help is needed. Murmuu-teatteri brings to the stage a masterful crime story by the queen of detective fiction, Agatha Christie, where a dark crime, British humour and a classic, intricate plot meet amid the idyllic scenery of the English countryside. The play premieres on the stage of Muurame Cultural Centre on 17 October 2026.
