When the younger brother of the headstrong teenager Prue McKeel (Peyton Elizabeth Lee) is snatched by a murder of crows, Prue sets off on a desperate rescue mission into the Impassable Wilderness—a magical forest hidden just outside Portland, Oregon. She is joined by her awkward but loyal classmate, Curtis Mehlberg (Jacob Tremblay). In the Impassable Wilderness, the pair encounter talking animals, bandits and powerful figures whose actions are driven by grief and ambition. When Prue and Curtis are swept up in a conflict threatening the balance of the entire forest, Prue must find strength and faith she never knew she had. To save her brother and protect the fragile future of Wildwood, Prue must be ready to risk everything.
