The Little Man

In the stage adaptation of Erich Kästner’s novel *The Little Man*, audiences of all ages can experience that wonderful childhood day when a travelling circus arrives in town, the air is filled with the smell of cotton candy and freshly popped popcorn, and no one has the slightest idea where the adventures will lead. The novel reveals that each of us has a special place in this world, and that no one is a failure or inferior to anyone else. The touching story of Mäxchen Pichelsteiner shows that even someone a mere five centimetres tall can make a big dream come true and become a real circus performer. But to get what he longs for, Mäxchen must be not only persistent and decisive, but also very brave. Just as the Little Man is on the verge of fulfilling his dream and becoming famous around the world, a terrible crime turns everything upside down. A show for the whole family, for children in grades 1–6. The production received 2025/2026 season “Spēlmaņu nakts” nominations in the categories: Thank you
