Blues rock for getting into the Christmas spirit – it wouldn’t be Christmas without Erja Lyytinen and friends’ Christmas tour! Erja Lyytinen is a much-loved guitarist and singer, as well as the host of one of Finland’s most spectacular Christmas tours, which each year features interesting guest artists performing in a festive atmosphere. On the 2026 tour, Lyytinen will be joined by guest stars Petra Gargano and Jussu Pöyhönen. The programme, which has become a classic, includes familiar elements such as guitar solos and favourite songs by Erja and her friends from across the years, as well as new interpretations and rock arrangements of Christmas songs. The approximately two-hour concert features the artists performing together, backed by Erja Lyytinen’s band, along with solo songs by Erja and the guests. Each guest adds something of their own to the evening’s musical selection, conjuring a magical Christmas atmosphere for the audience. There is the sparkling joy of opening a present in hearing beloved Christmas songs, but also in discovering which rock classics have made it into this year’s Christmas concert programme! Internationally award-winning guitarist and singer Erja Lyytinen is known for her powerful expression, combining blues, rock and progressive influences. A career spanning more than 20 albums, extensive international touring, and numerous awards and honours have made her one of Finland’s most respected guitarists. In 2026, her 50th-anniversary year will culminate in this tour. Petra Gargano is known for the band Tiktak and her successful solo career. Her powerful interpretations and stage presence have made her a much-loved performer. Christmas is a special time for Petra: her version of “Tulkoon joulu” has already received over 840,000 streams on Spotify. She has also previously performed, among other things, on the Raskasta joulua tours, bringing Christmas cheer through her music to concert halls and homes alike. Jussu Pöyhönen is best known for his career as a singer and songwriter with Suurlähettiläät, as well as his work in radio and musical theatre. His style is marked by melodic writing, a strong groove and personal lyrics.
