Pekka Laine & The Enchanted, Tinyhawk & Bizzarro

Pekka Laine leads a double life. By day, Laine is a respected Yleisradio music journalist who delves into the depths of popular culture in his popular radio programmes and television documentaries. Guitarist and songwriter Pekka Laine represents the darker side of the story. Known as the prime mover of cult band The Hypnomen, the music obsessive fulfilled his dream, encouraged by guitar legend Esa Pulliainen, and his solo debut, The Enchanted Guitar of Pekka Laine, was released in 2021. This magical journey of the imagination had to be brought before a live audience, so the dream band The Enchanted was assembled. Due out on November 20, the album “Pekka Laine & The Enchanted In Astral Mood” brings to a climax the five-year musical adventure of a lineup that has impressed audiences on both festival and club stages. Bringing together indie veterans and young talents, the band dives into the depths of krautrock and folk-inflected psychedelia, among other things, in the third part of its instrumental trilogy, and revives the intriguing atmosphere of the Cold War, from behind the Iron Curtain to the spirit of neon-lit vintage America. The new The Enchanted compositions take off live in a telepathic flight you won’t want to miss. The evening opens with the equally brilliant and acclaimed Tinyhawk & Bizzarro, whose 2025 second album was called “perfect” by Helsingin Sanomat.
