Pojat will release a new album in the autumn, and this gig at Tullikamari’s Klubi is part of the celebrations. Having released their debut album in 1990, Pojat quickly rose to the top of the so-called ramopunk genre alongside Ne Luumäet and Luonteri Surf. In January 1992, “Pasi Virtanen” reached number one on the official singles chart. Over the years, the band has released nine studio albums, including its latest release, 2023’s “Nämä ajat”. In addition, Pojat has released a whole range of singles, EPs and compilations, and taken part in various collaborative projects, such as the Christmas albums and live album released under the name Ne Luupojat Surf. Miika Söderholm also released a solo album, “Kuusnolla”, in 2016. Alongside guitarist and vocalist Miika Söderholm, the current lineup features Miki Leivo (bass, backing vocals) and Timo Tolppa (drums). The band is in top form, with no signs of slowing down. To quote Keith Richards: “we’re gonna bop til’ we drop!”

Punk rock band Vandaalit, founded in 1978, is returning to the stage and studio to bid farewell to its many fans. One of the band’s carefully selected comeback gigs will take place at Tullikamari’s Klubi. The band will perform with a lineup that is almost the original. The anniversary lineup also features Pekka “Pitkä” Parkkinen and Antti Reini, who is also known as an actor.

Finnish punk pioneer Vaavi was formed in Salo in 1978. The following year, the band came second in the Rockin SM competition and recorded classics including “Mihin jäi punk?” and “Uhoan voimaa”. In late 1979, Ilkka Isotupa took over as vocalist from Tapio Nyman, and after the release of the LP “Neljä Nolattua Neroa”, Vaavi toured every gig venue in Finland several times over. Since its first active period, the band has returned to the stage many times, and now, after a short quiet spell, we can once again see why Vaavi was such a popular live band in the early 1980s.
