Campaign For Musical Destruction 2026: NAPALM DEATH + Master, Brat, Goatburner

Napalm Death bring their legendary Campaign for Musical Destruction tour to Finland in November! The world’s longest-running legendary extreme metal tour, Campaign for Musical Destruction, arrives in Finland in November. The tour began in the late 1980s around Napalm Death and has, over the decades, become one of Europe’s best-known tour concepts in grindcore and death metal. The tour, which can also be heard later this year, celebrates extreme metal in many different forms.

Joining Napalm Death on the tour are the American death metal band Master, founded by Paul Speckmann in 1983, and New Orleans’ gift to the deathgrind/hardcore scene, BRAT. Helsinki-based Goatburner will also be joining the upcoming shows. The band comprises Keijo Niinimaa, known from Rotten Sound and also known as Kaos, and Spider, also known as Jaakko Forsman, familiar from bands including Ratface and Skulmagot.

Founded in Birmingham in 1981, Napalm Death have released a vast number of records over the course of their career and have also made it into the Guinness Book of Records, among other things, as the band behind the world’s shortest song. Last month, Napalm Death released the collaborative album Savage Imperial Death March with the Melvins. The band, which has worked with the Century Media record label for over two decades, released its latest eight-track record, Resentment is Always Seismic – a final throw ot Throes, in 2022.

The band underwent numerous changes in its early years, having been founded by Nicholas Bullen and Miles Ratledge, who were teenagers at the time and later withdrew from the band. Since the late ’80s, Napalm Death have operated more or less in their current, now-classic lineup. The quartet of Mark “Barney” Greenway, Shane Embury, Mitch Harris and Danny Herrera have previously visited Finland successfully many times, both as part of their tours and at the country’s major metal festivals.
