Litku Klemetti, Joku Iiris

Litku Klemetti will release a rock album, Sata pahaa poikaa, in the autumn and, of course, head out on a rock tour. The first taste of the album was the riff-heavy track “Splätter.” “We thought the album needed one more, even harder rock song. I wanted to write about heroism from a woman’s perspective. I created a movie-style fighter who cuts off a monster’s head and does a number on zombies,” Litku Klemetti says of the single “Splätter.” The rock sounds on the forthcoming album come from sweaty gig stages, where the Litku Klemetti band is in its element. “A certain kind of rock affects me like a powerful intoxicant,” Litku says. “In recent years, playing live has made me feel that we really are a rock band, and I want to let loose properly. And for that, of course, we need a genuine rock album.”

Opening the evening is Joku Iiris, who released an album to acclaim this spring.
