Your Eye for Art: Astrid Kajsa Nylander

“Your Eye for Art” aims to offer new possible interpretations of the art we share, and what it tells us and represents. On Thursday, December 3, we will meet the artist Astrid Kajsa Nylander, who has lived in Visby since 2024. Nylander trained, among other places, in Hamburg and is well established after a series of exhibitions and performances across Europe and in the USA. In Gotland, we have seen her art at gallery Apoteket in Roma. Astrid Kajsa Nylander has explored the region’s art collection and chosen a pearwood sculpture by Pye Engström: Child. Hear her talk about the sculpture and why it speaks to her. It will be an opportunity for new encounters and conversations about the art we own together. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
