The Chinese-Australian Qin makes their very first appearance in Sweden here. The music ranges from Samuel Barber’s heartfelt Cello Concerto to Sergei Rachmaninoff’s lyrically expansive Second Symphony. The concert is led by conductor Holly Hyun Choe, returning for a much-loved visit. Samuel Barber’s 1945 Cello Concerto is an expressive work, marked by strong melodies and dramatic contrasts.
