In the immensely popular symphonic suite Scheherazade, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov takes us straight into the tales of One Thousand and One Nights. The composer’s ability to colour his music was impressive, and the work is filled with cinematic melodies. Soloists from the orchestra also get to shine here. The conductor is the Spanish Jaime Martín.
